Samadhan Samaroh 2026 is a nationwide dispute resolution initiative launched by the Supreme Court of India to facilitate the amicable settlement of pending cases through mediation and Lok Adalat mechanisms. The initiative commenced on 21 April 2026 and will culminate in a Special Lok Adalat on 21–23 August 2026.

South Korea New EV fire liability insurance scheme to cover third-party damage

The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment is introducing a policy-based insurance scheme, Electric Vehicle Fire Safety Insurance, to compensate for third-party damage caused by electric vehicle (EV) fires. Under the proposal, coverage of up to KRW10bn ($6.9m) will be provided per incident if a fire that occurs while an EV is parked or charging causes damage to nearby vehicles, property or facilities.
