A meeting of Hospitals & General Insurance Companies was organised in Mumbai on 23rd November 2024 chaired by Mr. Tapan Singhal, Chairman GI Council. Hospital bodies from all over India participated including senior management representatives of various Hospitals .

Mr.Ramana Rao, Chief General Manager, IRDAI explained the positive measures rolled out by IRDAI to provide wider coverage & better service to the policyholders. & urged adoption of technology based platforms & development of an   effective framework  to resolve issues between the stakeholder for better customer experience.

The Chairman sought cooperation & involvement of Hospitals in securing accessible & affordable healthcare to millions of citizens.

Hospital bodies appreciated the initiative to bring the two entities on one platform and the development of redressal forum for providers .They urged for continuous dialogue and involvement during the empanelment process.

The agenda was to exchange views & discuss concerns faced by the hospitals & insurers.”
